Education Collaboration

The Farm strives to provide a place where young and old can observe, interact with, learn from, reconnect with and be inspired by the land.

We have, to date, hosted more than 250 4th grade students from Medway Public schools in a 5 week program, where, in 5 visits to the farm the students grow, harvest and sell their own produce - the proceeds contributing to the costs of the program.  We are excited to start this year's program with another 100 students.

We host Community Service Learning events for high school students, teach about seedling production and plant breeding to sophomore and senior Biology students, hired local high school and college students for summer internships and work with the MOVE ( a special education program at the high school) each spring with weekly field trips to help grow a crop of lettuce for the CSA.

Stay tuned to learn more about our plans for growing our School to Farm/Farm to School programs here at MCF.
